Since 1950, NISHIGUCHI KUTSUSHITA has been producing warm, comfortable, and soothing socks in Japan. Katsuji Nishiguchi founded the company Knitwin Co. in the prefecture of Nara with just one manual knitting machine. Since then, the company has continued to grow through successive generations and is currently managed by Isato Nishiguchi, the third generation.

Their collection is divided into 4 ranges, named after the cities that inspired them: Boston, Prague, Oslo, and Teni.

The Wool Ribbed Socks are part of the Prague range. The city of Prague, in the Czech Republic, derives its beauty from its architecture, from colorful Baroque buildings to stone Gothic churches. Reflecting this city, these socks offer a simple weave that brings out the quality, texture, and brilliance of each material.

Made from ultra-soft premium wool, these ribbed socks are thick and sturdy yet lightweight. Polwarth is a particular breed of sheep, consisting of one-quarter Lincoln and three-quarters Merino. This breed is known for its glossy, soft, and fine wool. The brand has selected this blend for its ultimate fluffiness and softness, creating thick and cozy socks that envelop the feet in warmth and comfort without weighing them down.
