Since 1950, NISHIGUCHI KUTSUSHITA has been producing warm, comfortable, and soothing socks in Japan. Katsuji Nishiguchi founded the company Knitwin Co. in the prefecture of Nara, with just one manual knitting machine. Since then, the company has continued to grow through generations and is now led by Isato Nishiguchi, the third generation.
Their collection is divided into 4 ranges, named after the cities that inspired them: Boston, Prague, Oslo, and Teni.
The Wool Ribbed Socks are part of the Prague range. The city of Prague, in the Czech Republic, derives its beauty from its architecture, from colorful Baroque buildings to stone Gothic churches. In the spirit of this city, these socks feature a simple weave that highlights the quality, texture, and brilliance of each material.
Made from ultra-soft premium wool, these ribbed socks are thick and sturdy yet lightweight. Polwarth is a special breed of sheep, consisting of one quarter Lincoln and three quarters Merino. It is a breed known for its lustrous, soft, and fine wool. The brand has chosen this blend for its ultimate fluffiness and softness, resulting in thick and cozy socks that wrap the feet in warmth and comfort without weighing them down.
