The design of these Jacquard Crew Socks "FairIsle" is inspired by traditional Scottish Fair Isle sweaters. The geometric pattern is carefully and finely knitted to appear handcrafted. Each color combination is meticulously selected to reflect original patterns. Although Fair Isle sweaters are traditionally made from wool, these socks are knitted from organic cotton, making them suitable for year-round wear. The specific organic cotton yarn used here is produced using a unique spinning method called "compact spinning," which makes it durable and resistant to fraying over time.

ROTOTO socks are manufactured in Nara Prefecture, the largest sock-producing region in Japan. The area has been known for its quality textiles since the 17th century. The industrial production of socks was first introduced in 1910, when a man from the former village of Umami (now Koryocho) brought a weaving machine from the United States to his hometown after studying abroad.

ROTOTO places high value on collaboration in its product research: "We start by selecting the right yarns with craftsmen to develop the design of a new material. After that, we choose the knitting machines based on the type of material and the intended use of the product. This might involve rare machines that have a specific use, old non-computerized knitting machines, or alternatively, modern high-tech tools."
