These Kasuri Ribbed Crew Socks are knitted using a blend of multicolored dyed yarns following the traditional Japanese Kasuri technique and exclusive organic cotton yarns, developed in collaboration with a renowned spinning mill. The complex shades of the Kasuri dye and the uneven surface of the "Slub" yarn give each item a unique look, while the fabric thickness is ideal for year-round use.

The ROTOTO socks are manufactured in the largest sock-producing region in Japan, Nara Prefecture. The area has been known for its quality textiles since the 17th century. Industrial sock production was first introduced in 1910, when a man from the former village of Umami (now Koryocho) imported a knitting machine from the United States to his hometown after studying abroad.

ROTOTO places great value on collaboration in its product research: "We start by selecting the right yarns with craftsmen to develop the design of a new material. After that, we choose the knitting machines based on the type of material and the use of the product. This can involve rare machines that have a specific usage, old non-computerized knitting machines, or, conversely, modern high-tech tools."

The ROTOTO socks can only be made by combining the right materials, the right machine, and the craftsman's expertise.

"Preserving the tradition inherited from previous generations, while painting the future with a fresh perspective. We will continue to try to produce things that can only be created here."
