The D1891 draws inspiration from the 1950s, an era when denim was synonymous with toughness and durability. This model features a typical Regular Straight cut from that decade, with a slightly higher waist and a straight leg, ensuring comfort and timelessness.
The 13oz selvedge fabric used for this model faithfully reproduces the denim of the 1950s. Made with traditional techniques on shuttle looms, it offers an uneven grain and an authentic texture that will beautifully evolve over time. The deep indigo used for dyeing ensures a gradual and natural fade, true to vintage jeans of that era.
Every detail of the D1891 illustrates the artisanal excellence of Studio D'Artisan: an aged copper 5-button fly, engraved rivets, chain stitch seams for increased durability, and an embossed cowhide leather patch applied after pre-washing for a neat and refined finish.
