Based in Osaka, in the Senshu region, Mooncastle is a young label created by a family-owned company that has been operating since 1966. This long-standing experience allows the workshop to produce high-quality knitwear, with a strong emphasis on raw materials and finishing details.
This 12G Wool Polo Neck showcases Mooncastle’s technical expertise. It is knitted from extra-fine merino wool sourced in Australia, in a 12-gauge knit that is both lightweight and breathable. Its durability is ensured by sturdy seams and ribbed trims, combined with a minimalist design.
It pairs easily with formal outfits when worn under a jacket with cotton trousers, but also works perfectly with selvedge denim for a clean, understated look. Its midweight texture makes it ideal for transitional seasons, while remaining comfortable in warmer weather — especially thanks to the thermoregulating properties of merino wool.
The Mooncastle sweaters tend to fit relatively small. In addition, as stated by the manufacturer, measurements and colors may vary slightly from one piece to another.
You can choose your usual size for a fitted look, or go one size up if you prefer a looser fit and immediate comfort.
