The New Deck Jacket is a reinterpretation of the famous Deck Jacket N1 (deck jacket) by Manifattura Ceccarelli. The Deck Jacket was worn during World War II by US Navy soldiers to combat the cold on the decks and gangways of ships.

The New Deck Jacket features two outer pockets and one inner zip pocket. It has a fitted, relatively short cut, and can be adjusted at the waist with an integrated drawstring to perfect its fit as desired. Its double slider zipper is also very practical when it comes to adjusting the opening based on situations or temperatures.

This version, made exclusively for our store, is made with a 100% virgin wool outer "Panno Grosso di Casentino", an iconic wool from the Stia mill in Tuscany. The main attribute of this wool is its fulling treatment that makes it water-repellent, keeping you protected from the elements. It also has great durability and a dry touch, combined with a naturally mottled appearance.

For the interior, we have chosen one of the best linings offered by Manifattura Ceccarelli: wool fiber. Ultra light and thermoregulatory, wool has always been one of the best natural insulators. It does not deteriorate over time and retains its water-repellent qualities. It also has the property of transporting body sweat to the outside without absorbing it.

For the sleeve lining, Manifattura Ceccarelli uses Bemberg Cupro, a very fine 100% biodegradable natural fiber, similar to silk. It has a smooth surface that does not irritate the skin. It is also a very breathable fabric as it quickly absorbs moisture which it then releases through invisible pores. This generates warmth especially when combined with another insulating fiber like wool. This is why Manifattura Ceccarelli has chosen to pair Bemberg Cupro with wool fiber to make the linings for its winter jackets.

Its collar, with a sheepskin-like appearance made from 90% wool and 10% polyester, can be worn down or raised to effectively protect from the elements. A button placket under the collar also allows it to be kept raised and effectively cover the neck. This version is finished with a sheepskin-like lining mixing 90% wool with 10% polyester, warm and comfortable.

The Deck Jacket fits true to size, you can go with your usual size.
