The Blazer Coat from Manifattura Ceccarelli is a short jacket with a hood, consisting of 4 outer pockets (2 hand pockets under 2 large flap pockets) and 2 inner pockets, one zippered and the other buttoned. Its comfortable straight cut provides ease, while the adjustable waist elastic allows it to be adjusted as desired. It also features a double slider zipper that goes high enough to cover the neck, and a cap-style hood that can be tightened with a waxed cotton cord.
This coat is entirely made in Italy from a very durable double-twisted poplin 100% cotton fabric, resistant to wear and abrasion. The material is made water-repellent by immersion treatment in tanks of melted paraffin. This is the fabric with which Manifattura Ceccarelli has been making its winter garments for many years, making them waterproof, comfortable, and particularly suited for use in both the countryside and the city. Moreover, it is a material that will develop a beautiful patina over time.
This version is finished with a sheepskin lining, also present in the hood, blending 90% wool with 10% polyester, warm and comfortable. The sleeve linings are made from Bemberg Cupro, a 100% biodegradable natural fiber. It is a very fine material, similar to silk. It has a smooth surface that does not irritate the skin. It is also a very breathable fabric because it quickly absorbs moisture, which is then released through invisible pores. It generates warmth, especially when combined with another insulating fiber such as wool or down. This warmth is efficiently retained by the ribbing at the cuffs.
