Oak Street Bootmakers was founded in 2010 by George Vlagos, a shoemaker's son who grew up immersed in shoe crafting. With this background, the brand has built its reputation on 100% American manufacturing, from the materials used to the overall production by skilled and passionate craftsmen.

The Lakeshore is the perfect example of the manufacturer's craftsmanship. Named after the last form used in its assembly, it is made from "Chromexcel" leather, a unique tanning process developed over 100 years ago by Horween, a family-owned company based in Chicago known for the quality of its leathers, both in terms of durability and patina.

Lined with calfskin leather, the shoe features a waterproof Barbour welt, Goodyear stitching, and a Dainite rubber outsole combining aluminum and silica for increased durability.

The waxed cotton laces, paired with antique brass eyelets and hooks, complete a versatile elongated shape, allowing the Lakeshore to be worn daily in a formal, professional, or more casual context.

For sizing, it is recommended to choose your usual dress shoe size, or half a size down. The initial snug feel will quickly give way to the leather adapting to the shape of your foot.
