Oak Street Bootmakers was founded in 2010 by George Vlagos, a cobbler's son who grew up immersed in the craft of shoemaking. With this rich heritage, the brand has built its reputation on 100% American manufacturing, from the materials used to the overall production by skilled and passionate craftsmen.

The Lakeshore is a perfect example of the manufacturer's expertise. Named after the last used in its assembly, it is made from "Chromexcel" leather, a unique tanning process developed over 100 years ago by Horween, a family-owned company based in Chicago known for the quality of its leathers in terms of durability and patina.

Lined with calfskin leather, the shoe features a waterproof Barbour welt, a Goodyear stitching, and a Dainite rubber outsole mixed with aluminum and silica for increased durability.

The waxed cotton laces, combined with antique aged brass eyelets and hooks, complete a versatile elongated shape, allowing the Lakeshore to be worn daily in a formal, professional, or more casual context.

For sizing, it is recommended to go with your usual dress shoe size, or half a size down. The initial snug feeling will quickly give way as the leather adapts to the shape of your foot.
