Since 1950, NISHIGUCHI KUTSUSHITA has been producing warm, pleasant, and comforting socks in Japan. Katsuji Nishiguchi founded the company Knitwin Co. in Nara prefecture with just one manual knitting machine. Since then, the company has continuously grown through generations and is now led by Isato Nishiguchi, the third generation.
Their collection is divided into 4 ranges, named after the cities that inspired them: Boston, Prague, Oslo, and Teni.
The Silk Cotton Socks are part of the Boston range. The city of Boston in the United States is home to many baseball fans but especially a significant working class. Just like any good clothing or work shoe, these socks are designed to provide unmatched comfort and increased durability throughout their use.
These socks are made from a base of "virgin" cotton. This refers to the fibers left over from production, which are then collected and spun on a specialized machine to create an extra-fine yarn. This yarn is then combined with a silk thread to enhance its soft, smooth texture. One of the additional benefits of silk is its antibacterial and anti-sweat properties. The result is a plush and comfortable sock, enhanced with a touch of bright color to liven up its basic design.
