Since 1950, NISHIGUCHI KUTSUSHITA has been producing warm, comfortable, and cozy socks in Japan. Katsuji Nishiguchi founded the company Knitwin Co. in Nara Prefecture with a single manual knitting machine. The company has since grown through generations and is now led by Isato Nishiguchi, the third generation.

Their collection is divided into four ranges, each named after the cities that inspired them: Boston, Prague, Oslo, and Teni.

The Mohair Wool Pile Socks belong to the “Oslo” range, designed for cold climates. They use a blended yarn of kid mohair and wool from lambs under one year old to achieve gentle warmth while remaining thin. The foot is lined with velour (pile), and the ankle features a double-knit structure for better support and excellent heat retention.

The blended composition provides socks that are thin yet well-insulated for winter. The design aims to deliver warmth and comfort without unnecessary bulk.
