These Pop Color mittens offered by ROTOTO are knitted using a circular knitting machine, eliminating the need for cutting and sewing processes and thus reducing waste. This method produces a seamless finished product for increased comfort. Available in a wide range of colors, these mittens allow for the use of smartphones or computers while wearing them, without discomfort or bulk.
ROTOTO socks are manufactured in the largest sock-producing region of Japan, Nara Prefecture. The region has been known for its quality textiles since the 17th century. Industrial sock production was first introduced in 1910 when a man from the former village of Umami (now Koryocho) imported a weaving machine from the United States to his hometown after studying abroad.
ROTOTO places great value on collaboration in its product research: "We start by selecting the right yarns with craftsmen to develop the design of a new material. After that, we choose the knitting machines based on the type of material and the intended use of the product. This could be rare machines that have a specific use, old non-computerized knitting machines, or, on the contrary, modern high-tech tools."
ROTOTO socks can only be made by combining the right materials, the right machine, and the craftsman's know-how.
"Preserving the tradition inherited from previous generations, while painting the future with a new perspective. We will continue to try to produce things that can only be created here."
