Novesta first appeared in 1939, with the opening of the first Bata factory in Partizánske, Slovakia. The initial idea was to offer footwear that met high manufacturing standards, was easy to wear, and maintained an affordable cost.

Since its inception, the brand has not changed its guiding principles, methods, or manufacturing location. It is one of the last European brands to produce its models in the same factory where it was founded over 80 years ago. Originating several iconic models, such as the famous Star Master, Novesta has carved out a prime spot in the landscape of timeless footwear, with an added commitment to ethical and ecological standards.

Novesta products are designed to last as long as possible. The brand specializes in the manufacture of vulcanized sneakers. Rubber is one of the main raw materials, present in every sole of their sneakers. Their traditional production method requires high-quality certified materials combined with a minimalist and timeless design. Moreover, all products are washable, with removable soles, which also contributes to extending the life cycle of the products.
