Becoming iconic over the years, the 50's jeans from TCB were the first pair made by the brand at its inception. Its authentic cut, with a straight and bold drop, is inspired, as its name suggests, by vintage models from the 1950s. Its high waist, straight leg from thigh to hem, and generous length all mimic the features of jeans from that era.

Like its Slim variant, the 50's model is made from a medium-weight 13.5oz selvedge fabric. This denim is crafted from Zimbabwean cotton, which is unique due to its hand-picked harvesting. This method allows the cotton to retain a more "pure" appearance as well as a softer and less dry feel compared to American cotton. This harvesting technique also introduces natural irregularities to the fabric, stemming from the variations in thread thickness and tensions produced by the vintage loom used for its weaving. Like most of the denim pieces offered by TCB, it has been pre-washed to provide comfort from the first wear and to ensure the size is fully set.

True to the original model from the early 1950s, historical details have been recreated, such as riveted back pockets, the screen-printed paper patch, and the "Leg Twist" resulting from the use of cotton seams that twist during the first wash. A subtle nod to the brand that inspired TCB, the right back pocket features the Red Tab, a well-known small red label. The seams were made using the original machines, such as the Union Special 43200G and the resulting roping effect. To push attention to detail to the limit, the buttons and rivets selected by TCB will oxidize, thus patinating along with the denim.

Both in the making of the fabric and the assembly of the jeans, TCB is a brand that cares about details and thus offers its own versions of iconic models while preserving the historical finishes that have marked the history of jeans.
