This Sockstole Merino Scarf from ROTOTO is made on an old knitting machine, also used in sock production. Its composition makes it soft, warm, and comfortable, ensuring excellent durability and easy maintenance.

ROTOTO socks are made in Japan's largest sock-producing region, Nara Prefecture. The area has been known for its quality textiles since the 17th century. Industrial sock production was first introduced in 1910, when a man from the former village of Umami (now Koryocho) imported a loom from the United States to his hometown after studying abroad.

ROTOTO places great value on collaboration in its product research: "We start by selecting the right yarns with craftsmen to develop the design of a new material. After that, we choose the knitting machines based on the type of material and the intended use of the product. These could be rare machines that have a specific use, old non-computerized knitting machines, or on the contrary, modern high-tech tools.

The ROTOTO socks can only be made by combining the right materials, the right machine, and the artisan's expertise.

Preserving the tradition handed down from previous generations, while painting the future with a fresh perspective. We will continue to try to produce things that can only be created here."
