This winter, Manifattura Ceccarelli presents the Wool Cruiser Jacket, heavily inspired by the US Navy's CPO Shirts. These heavy wool shirts with the classic 2 chest pockets with flaps were issued to chief petty officers (hence the name CPO). It was not exclusively a navy item, but it quickly became associated and favored by navy personnel for its practicality, durability, and thermal and insulating properties.

This updated version features 2 chest pockets, each with a buttoned flap and two compartments of different sizes. It also has 2 piped hand pockets with slanted openings for better accessibility. The body interior is completely lined with cotton, unlike the sleeves, which are lined with Cupro, a 100% biodegradable fine natural fiber similar to silk. It has a smooth surface that does not irritate the skin and is also a very breathable fabric because it quickly absorbs moisture and releases it through invisible pores.

This hybrid between a jacket and an overshirt is made with a 100% virgin wool exterior "Panno Grosso di Casentino", an iconic wool from the Stia mill in Tuscany. The main feature of this wool is its fulling treatment that makes it water-repellent, keeping you protected from the elements. It also boasts great robustness and a dry touch, combined with a naturally mottled appearance.

An excellent layering piece, it can be easily worn open or closed with a 6-button placket featuring injected resin buttons, made in the USA.

The Wool Cruiser Jacket fits true to size, you can choose your regular size.
