This winter, Manifattura Ceccarelli brings us the Wool Cruiser Jacket, heavily inspired by the US Navy's CPO Shirts. These heavy wool shirts with the classic 2 flap chest pockets were issued to the "Chief Petty Officers" (hence the name CPO). It was not exclusively used by the navy, but it quickly became associated and favored by navy soldiers for its practicality, durability, and thermal and insulating properties.

This reimagined version features 2 buttoned flap chest pockets with two different sized compartments. It also includes 2 piped hand pockets with slanted openings for better accessibility. The body's interior is fully lined with cotton, unlike the sleeves, which are lined with Cupro, a 100% biodegradable natural fiber that is very fine, similar to silk. It has a smooth surface that does not irritate the skin and is also highly breathable as it quickly absorbs moisture, releasing it through invisible pores.

This hybrid between a jacket and overshirt is made with a 100% virgin wool exterior "Panno Grosso di Casentino", an iconic wool from the Stia mill in Tuscany. The main characteristic of this wool is its fulling treatment that makes it water-repellent, thus keeping you protected from the elements. It also boasts great durability and a dry touch, coupled with a naturally mottled appearance.

An excellent layering piece, it can easily be worn open or closed using a 6-button placket with injected resin buttons, made in the USA.
