Jackman is a brand by Tanabe Meriyasu, a Japanese manufacturing company based in Fukui, inspired by the legacy of its founder: Mitsugu Tanabe.
The Back Nep Hoodie Coat is a short, lightweight parka reimagined by Jackman. It features classic details such as a high collar, a deep adjustable hood with two elastic drawstrings on each side, and two easily accessible side pockets lined with fleece for added comfort.
The cut has been reworked with layering in mind thanks to its comfortable volume. This lightweight parka can easily be integrated into a wide range of outfits, ideally adapting to seasonal changes. Despite its shape that might be misleading, the fabric used is not waterproof and will not protect against heavy weather conditions.
It is made from a beautiful Back Nep 100% organic cotton fabric. The cotton threads are woven as they are, without any thread adjustment, to achieve a grainy and neppy texture, full of bumps and roughness. The fabric is then degreased to give it a drier and stiffer feel, thus providing great shape to this jacket.
Despite the evolution of styles towards mismatching, it is entirely possible to pair this jacket with various trousers offered in the Back Nep fabric, for an elegant, understated, and versatile outfit. A true demonstration of the Jackman DNA.
