The Blazer Coat from Manifattura Ceccarelli is a short hooded jacket featuring 4 outer pockets (2 hand pockets under 2 large flap pockets) and 2 inner pockets, one zippered and the other buttoned. Its comfortable straight cut provides ease of movement, while the waist drawstring allows for adjustable fitting. It also features a double slider zipper that goes high enough to cover the neck and a cap-style hood that can be tightened with a waxed cotton cord.
This coat is entirely made in Italy from a very durable double-twist poplin fabric made of 100% cotton, resistant to wear and abrasion. The material is made water-repellent by a treatment involving immersion in melted paraffin tanks. This is the fabric with which Manifattura Ceccarelli has been making its winter garments for many years, making the clothing waterproof, comfortable, and particularly suitable for both countryside and city use. Moreover, it is a material that will develop a beautiful patina over time.
This version is finished with a shearling lining, also present in the hood, blending 90% wool with 10% polyester, warm and comfortable. The sleeve linings are made of Bemberg Cupro, a 100% biodegradable natural fiber. It is a very fine material, similar to silk. It has a smooth surface that does not irritate the skin. It is also a highly breathable fabric, as it quickly absorbs moisture and then releases it through pores invisible to the naked eye. This generates warmth, especially when combined with another insulating fiber like wool or down, which will be efficiently retained thanks to the ribbing at the cuffs.
