The C.P.O. (Chief Petty Officer) jacket was the uniform worn by the quartermasters of the US Navy starting from the 1930s. It is a hybrid military jacket/shirt model, typically offered in thick Melton wool with characteristic patch pockets on either side of the chest.

Good On has revisited this design, this time in a "Nap Fleece" sweatshirt material of 9oz, thus creating a mixture of simplicity and comfort thanks to the soft material, brushed on the reverse, combined with the textured feel resulting from the dyeing process.

This revision includes traditional chest pockets, to which 2 side hand pockets have been added, as well as black buttons featuring a naval anchor, symbolizing the origin of this piece.

What makes Good On stand out as a manufacturer is primarily its expertise in the dyeing techniques used to color its garments. The brand specializes in pigment dyeing ("pigment dye").

To put it simply, if you cut the garment in half, you will see that the core of the cotton remains white. The coloration only occurs in post-production, once the sweatshirt is made. With pigment dyeing, the dye does not penetrate the fabric deeply; it only colors the surface of the garment.

As it is not a uniform dyeing process, this gives the jersey a vintage look and an uneven color. Each piece thus varies slightly from one dye batch to another, and this particular patina will further accentuate over time and with washing.

Good On is one of the manufacturers that offers the widest palette of colors in pigment dyeing (nearly thirty colors), with constant research to find new shades each season.

Good On also pays particular attention to the robustness of its seams. Indeed, during the dyeing process, the products undergo a lot of rubbing and twisting, which requires seams with a high level of resistance.
