These double-faced socks have been a part of the ROTOTO collection since the brand was created.

Inspired by mountaineering socks, they are made from a material that blends merino wool on the outside with undyed organic cotton on the inside. This combination provides the soft and plush sensation of a sweatshirt on your feet.

The ROTOTO socks are manufactured in Japan's largest production region, Nara Prefecture. This area has been known for its quality textiles since the 17th century. The industrial production of socks was first introduced in 1910 when a man from the former village of Umami (now Koryocho) imported a weaving machine from the United States to his hometown after his study trip to the country.

ROTOTO places great value on collaboration in their product research: "We start by selecting the right yarns with artisans to develop the design of a new material. After that, we choose the knitting machines based on the type of material and the use of the product. This can involve rare machines that have specific uses, old non-computerized knitting machines, or alternatively, modern high-tech tools."

The ROTOTO socks can only be made by combining the right materials, the right machine, and the craftsman's expertise.
