These double face socks have been a part of the ROTOTO collection since the brand's inception.

This new version of the Double Face features an undyed, naturally brown inner cotton (Chamen). Inspired by mountaineering socks, they are made from a material that blends merino wool on the outside with organic cotton on the inside. This combination offers the soft and cushy sensation of a sweatshirt for your feet.

ROTOTO socks are manufactured in the largest sock-producing region of Japan, Nara Prefecture. The area has been known for its quality textiles since the 17th century. Industrial sock production was first introduced in 1910, when a man from the former village of Umami (now Koryocho) imported a knitting machine from the United States to his hometown after his study trip to the country.

ROTOTO places great value on collaboration in its product research: "We start by selecting the right yarns with artisans to develop the design of a new material. After that, we choose the knitting machines based on the type of material and the use of the product. This can be rare machines that have a specific use, old non-computerized knitting machines or, on the contrary, modern high-tech tools."

The ROTOTO socks can only be made by combining the right materials, the right machine, and the artisan's expertise.
