The Universal Works Cardigan is one of the flagship pieces from the English brand. It’s a blended wool cardigan, warm and highly functional with its raised neckline, two large patch pockets, and chest pockets—one internal and one external. Its fit is straight, slightly tailored while remaining comfortable, perfect for wearing under a coat or rain jacket.
Offered every year, it comes in several colors including this "Rust," a warm, earthy tone between orange and red with brownish hues. It evokes the color of oxidized metal, hence the name. It’s a rich and deep color, reminiscent of autumn, dead leaves, and natural, organic tones. The Rust color pairs well with neutral tones (beige or cream) to soften its warmth, as well as with deep blues for an elegant contrast. It also works well with olive or sage greens for a natural palette, or with dark greys for a more modern style. Mustard shades, golden yellows, or chocolate browns will enhance its warm, rustic character.
This model runs slightly small; you can choose your usual size for a fitted look or go one size up for more comfort and room.
