Oni is a mysterious label led by a true denim enthusiast who has dedicated 60 years of his life to the craft. Always in search of perfection, Oishi-san focuses solely on production. That’s why you won’t find an official website or Instagram page. For this reason, the label is only distributed through a few select shops worldwide—and exclusively at Flâneurs in France.
While maintaining the authentic character typical of Oni Denim fabrics, the “KIRAKU” series is crafted from a lightweight 12oz denim. Like all jeans from this demon-branded label, it is woven on vintage shuttle looms. Thanks to the low-tension weaving, the selvedge fabric is both textured and slightly rough to the touch. As the Kiraku is pre-washed by the brand, lightness and comfort are felt from the very first wear.
True to its signature detailing, a vivid pink selvedge ID contrasts beautifully with the deep indigo of the Kiraku. Thoughtful touches include hidden copper rivets that reinforce the back pockets and pocket bags. The belt loops are raised, meaning they are reinforced with a hidden cord for added durability.
The 222 "Super Wide Straight" from Oni is the brand’s most ambitious cut to date, following the 200 "Wide Straight". A very high rise and generous rear scoop lead into a straight, wide leg from thigh to hem. Such a silhouette is rare from Oni, but the mastery of its creator makes this model a true success for anyone wanting to explore a bold, vintage-inspired oversized look.
