The Open Collar Block Print by Beams Plus continues the legacy of 1950s leisure shirts, inspired by summer garments from American “store brand” collections of the era. It reinterprets this heritage through a contemporary Japanese casualwear approach, staying true to the brand’s vintage-inspired ethos.
The fabric is produced using the block print technique, a traditional artisanal printing method where patterns are applied using hand-carved blocks and natural pigments. As a result, each piece features slight variations in tone and motif, enhancing its unique and handcrafted character. The cotton fabric provides a lightweight and breathable feel, ideal for warmer seasons.
