Jackman is the brand of Tanabe Meriyasu, a Japanese manufacturer based in Fukui, drawing inspiration from the legacy of its founder: Mitsugu Tanabe.
The GG Sweatshirt is THE iconic model from Jackman. The name "GG" refers to the unique fleece texture, achieved through the use of different yarn thicknesses, characterized by a rough exterior contrasting with a soft interior. The 100% cotton fabric is produced on the same vintage machines used when the factory first opened. The weaving process is slow but gives each piece an irregular appearance and superior durability.
The result is a heavy, dense sweatshirt with a unique texture that retains its shape and structure even after many wears and washes. It is a high-quality piece that will delight fans of solid basics offering comfort and longevity. The Half-Zip version features a trucker collar with a Universal zipper and a large, typical kangaroo pocket. Unlike the usual crewneck or hoodie versions, this model offers a relaxed, loose fit reminiscent of vintage sports sweatshirts that the brand particularly loves.
