The Lot 5906 from Warehouse & Co. is the quintessential basic long sleeve t-shirt. Crafted from 100% cotton jersey, woven at low tension from highly irregular yarns, it features a classic short and boxy silhouette. The reinforced collar opening and overlock stitching ensure a secure fit and enhanced durability of the finishes.
The high standards of Warehouse & Co. led them to seek out the best machines capable of producing these t-shirts with a decidedly vintage look. They settled on a 1960s loom, initially used for producing ribbed underwear with thick yarns. This machine allows them to preserve the natural irregularity of the cotton threads and combine a unique texture with undeniable durability.
The "Loopwheeler" machines knit cotton with very low thread tension, allowing for the production of a unique, superior quality fabric resulting in an incredibly comfortable final product. There are only about 400 of these machines left in Wakayama, Japan, and only half of them are regularly used. These machines were the standard between the 1920s and 1960s, until such manufacturing methods, considered too slow and costly, gave way to efficiency and reduced production costs.
These t-shirts may seem large at first but are subject to slight shrinkage after the first wash.
This model runs slightly small; we recommend choosing one size up from your usual size, especially to allow for shrinkage after the first wash.
