The Hi Water Trouser takes its name from its slightly cropped length designed to sit above the ankle — perfect for avoiding getting wet or showing a bit of ankle in summer. It features a relaxed fit, designed for easy and versatile everyday wear.
This version is crafted from Jean Cloth Reworked, a lightweight denim made from post-consumer cotton: worn denim is collected, sorted by colour, shredded, recycled into yarn, and woven with new cotton to create a high-quality fabric with a denim-like hand feel. This process gives the fabric subtle tonal variations and a texture that sits between classic cotton and denim, resulting in a more nuanced and contemporary indigo aesthetic.
Functional and comfortable, this trouser features an elasticated drawcord waist, two slanted front pockets, and two patch back pockets for practicality. Its slightly cropped length and relaxed fit make it ideal for casual summer outfits, to be worn with sneakers or sandals, while retaining the distinctive workwear spirit of Universal Works.
