Specifications of the FnM002 Momotaro X Flâneurs
For this denim, one of our very first collaboration projects, we had aimed to create a unisex jean that is both dynamic and versatile: high waist, tapered leg, and cropped length, designed to fit a variety of body types. Its elastic waistband provided optimal comfort. It was made from 16.5 oz selvedge denim, woven at very low tension from high-quality American and Australian cotton.
To achieve this result, the jeans were:
- Worn for about 5 years
- Washed more than 10 times, with the first wash after 6 months
A few words from Peter:
"This collaboration with Momotaro remains, even today, one of my favorite jeans! As a store manager, I see a large number of jeans models, but its cut and elastic waistband make it so comfortable… especially for a 16.5 oz fabric that was quite stiff at first, that it has yet to be dethroned. For now, no reissue is planned, but when this jean has definitively reached the end of its life, it will be time to consider a replacement.
As with all my jeans, the left knee is more pronounced than the right. Being left-handed, it is when I kneel to hem customers’ jeans in the store that this fading difference naturally deepens over time."
