Longtime partners, we have always been strong advocates of the craftsmanship and authenticity of the Scottish manufacturer Harley Of Scotland, based in Peterhead, the most populous town in Aberdeenshire, located on the East Coast of Scotland. Working with wool, sourced and processed locally since 1929, combines family traditions with modern development. One of the unique features of Harley Of Scotland is that it is among the few manufacturers to offer "seamless" sweaters, knitted in one body without side seams.
The Fall/Winter 2022 season saw the birth of the first Harley Of Scotland x Flâneurs collaboration, adding a special spinning mill to the mix: the Scottish mill Gardiner. Over the past 20 years, we have tested many types of wool, and Gardiner’s remains one of our favorites. Gardiner wool has a rustic look and a drier hand feel at first, which softens over time and through washing.

Due to the quality of this collaboration and the enthusiasm it generated, we have chosen to renew this exclusive partnership for the Fall/Winter 2023 season.
The basic recipe remains unchanged: the design, knitting, and assembly of the sweaters are handled by Harley Of Scotland using Shetland wool that we selected from Gardiner.
However, there are some new additions in this edition.
To begin with, we chose to offer the sweaters in a brushed version known as "Shaggy", a technique at which Harley Of Scotland excels. It involves brushing the sweater once using not a man-made brush, but a teasel (Dipsacus Fullonum), a type of thistle which, once dried, becomes a natural brush that produces a unique result. This process removes short wool fibers that tend to pill, while also giving the sweater a softer, fluffier appearance.
The result is an airy knit that blends the roughness of Gardiner wool with the fluffy look of the brushing, giving a highly textured finish reminiscent of mohair.
Another new feature this year is the addition of size XS to meet growing female demand. The cut and available sizes make this a unisex collaboration.
We also increased the number of available colors, going from 6 to 9 variations. We kept 3 colors from our previous collaboration: Ocean, Pheasant, and Evergreen.
6 new shades have been added: Antique, Brae, Broom, Greenfinch, Siskin, and Terracotta.
Color Variations:
/ Antique: a tone somewhere between brown and khaki, with subtle hints of yellow and red.
/ Brae: a pale pink tone with white reflections, accented by coppery red highlights.
/ Broom: a soft and bright mustard tone, scattered with subtle red/pink flecks.
/ Evergreen: a deep green tone subtly brightened with yellow and light blue highlights.
/ Greenfinch: a bright green tone with yellow nuances and hints of deep green/blue.
/ Ocean: a dark and elegant navy blue tone, enhanced by multicolored highlights dominated by yellow/red.
/ Pheasant: a deep burgundy tone with bright accents of yellow, blue, and red.
/ Siskin: a khaki tone with beige and yellow sandy reflections, mixed with hints of deep green.
/ Terracotta: a warm brick tone with pink reflections and hints of yellow.
