Seuvas is a young Japanese label based in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture. Inspired by workwear and military clothing, the brand offers garments made from exceptional canvas by Takeyari, a local manufacturer that has been producing this material for 130 years. Seuvas thus offers jackets, shirts, and pants in natural canvas in their permanent collection, cutting and sewing all the garments themselves in their own workshop in Kurashiki using vintage sewing machines.

Each season, the brand launches a new capsule featuring organic dyes, such as matcha tea, coffee, or charcoal, and accompanies its garments with a unique detail: the collar button. This is a hand-made porcelain button crafted from clay ore mined in the town of Amakusa, in Kimamoto Prefecture, Japan. Amakusa pottery stone is a historic pottery stone, used in Japanese pottery since the 17th century. These porcelain buttons, specially designed for Seuvas, are traditionally made in Amakusa. For this "Coffee" capsule collection, the button designs feature small coffee beans surrounded by a traditional pattern.

For this season, Seuvas introduces a new coffee-dyed capsule collection. The subtle shades are achieved by soaking the garment to varying extents in used coffee grounds from local cafes. This dyeing gives the fabric a unique feel, somewhere between softness and roughness, and will also develop a unique patina similar to that of indigo dyeing.

With the Wing Collar Shirt Jacket, Seuvas offers a piece that is a cross between a jacket and an overshirt, perfect for warm weather and summer temperatures. The apparent simplicity of this overshirt is enhanced by subtle details such as the collar button, side slits accompanied by cords, and the inner label, featuring a coffee cup along with the inscription "Make Coffee Not War".
