The Weird Guy Hemp Blend Selvedge from Naked & Famous is made from 11 oz Japanese selvedge denim blending 77% cotton and 23% hemp, woven on traditional shuttle looms for an authentic selvedge finish. This unique blend gives the fabric increased durability, a slightly textured feel, and a natural appearance with visible fibers, creating an artisanal and authentic look.
The hemp adds strength and longevity, while the right-hand twill structure ensures a clean and comfortable drape. The warp threads are indigo-dyed, and the weft is left natural, allowing the denim to age differently across areas of wear: the cotton gradually lightens, while the hemp retains a warmer, textured tone. This natural aging process enhances the unique character of each pair.
The jeans are pre-washed to stabilize the waist and soften the fabric from the first wear. Typical Naked & Famous details include antique copper buttons and rivets, contrasting stitching, and a full-grain leather patch, ensuring both durability and longevity. The button fly remains faithful to traditional selvedge denim construction.
