The Greencast Slub Stretch Selvedge by Naked & Famous is made from a Japanese selvedge denim weighing approximately 13oz, crafted from a cotton blend with a touch of elastane to provide extra comfort without compromising the structure of the jeans. Woven on traditional shuttle looms, it features an irregular slub texture, characterized by variations in yarn thickness that give the fabric a rich, textured, and lively appearance.
The defining feature of this denim is its greencast indigo tone, a slightly green-tinted indigo achieved through a specific dyeing and spinning process, offering a deeper and more complex color compared to standard indigo denim. Over time, the jeans develop strong contrast between worn areas and darker untouched sections, highlighting the full character of the slub weave.
The presence of stretch adds extra comfort, allowing ease of movement while maintaining the raw selvedge aesthetic. The construction follows traditional denim codes with a button fly, metal rivets, reinforced stitching, and a leather patch, ensuring durability and authenticity.
The Super Guy fit is the most tapered cut from the brand: mid-rise, slim thighs, and a narrow leg opening. It delivers a modern, close-fitting silhouette while preserving the technical qualities and natural evolution of high-quality Japanese selvedge denim.
