Rope dyeing
A dyeing technique where warp yarns are twisted into ropes before being repeatedly dipped into indigo baths. Between dips, the yarns oxidize in the air, resulting in a deep, rich, and nuanced blue color. This method is the oldest and yields a unique fade and aging character.
