Shrink-to-fit
The term “shrink-to-fit” refers to unsanforized denim, meaning the fabric has not undergone the industrial treatment used to limit shrinkage. As a result, the jeans will naturally shrink during the first wash or soak, typically at the waist, in length, and slightly through the leg widths. This process allows the denim to mold to the wearer’s body, creating a more personalized fit and an authentic result. Once the initial shrinkage has occurred, the fabric will gradually loosen again with wear, contributing to the comfort and evolving character typical of traditional denim.
