The Freedom Sweatshirt from Good On is inspired by classic 1940s‑50s sweatshirts, designed to combine comfort and authenticity. Its thick cotton fabric with a lightly brushed interior provides softness and warmth while maintaining excellent structure and durability, hallmarks of the brand’s pieces.
The Freedom Sleeve construction, with its specific curve from the shoulder to the underarm, allows optimal freedom of movement and a natural drape. The 5×1 ribbing on the cuffs, hem, and underarms reinforces the durability of the garment while giving it an authentic style, inspired by original utility sweatshirts.
What sets Good On apart is its expertise in dyeing techniques. The brand specializes in pigment dyeing, where color is applied to the garment after construction.
To explain simply, if you were to cut the garment in half, you would see that the core of the cotton remains white. The color is applied only in post-production, once the sweatshirt is fully assembled. With pigment dyeing, the dye does not penetrate deeply into the fabric, coloring only the surface.
Because this is not a uniform dyeing process, the fabric takes on a vintage look with uneven coloration. Each piece varies slightly from batch to batch, and this unique patina will develop further over time and with washing.
Good On is one of the manufacturers offering the widest range of pigment-dyed colors (nearly thirty shades), continuously exploring new tones each season.
Good On also pays special attention to the strength of its seams. During the dyeing process, garments undergo significant friction and twisting, which requires highly durable stitching.
This model runs slightly small. You can choose your usual size for a fitted look, or size up for added comfort.
