Based on the same design as their flagship model, the Short Sleeve Crew Tee, Good On offers here a heavier 9oz version made from American cotton, providing a soft hand feel and increased durability. All production and dyeing stages are carried out in Japan.
What sets Good On apart is above all its expertise in garment dyeing techniques used to color its clothing. The brand is especially known for its pigment dyeing. To put it simply, if you were to cut the garment in half, you would notice that the core of the cotton remains white. The color is only applied after the garment has been constructed.
With pigment dyeing, the dye does not fully penetrate the fabric; it only colors the surface of the garment. Because this is not a uniform dyeing process, it gives the jersey a vintage look and an irregular color finish. Each piece therefore differs slightly from one dye bath to another, and this unique patina will become more pronounced over time and with repeated washing.
Good On is one of the manufacturers offering one of the widest pigment-dyed color ranges (nearly thirty shades), with a constant focus on developing new tones each season. The brand also pays particular attention to the strength of its stitching. Indeed, during the dyeing process, garments undergo significant friction and twisting, requiring highly durable seam construction.
This Heavy Crew Tee fits true to size, so you can take your usual size. If you are looking for a looser and more comfortable fit, we recommend sizing up. The cut is relatively short, so the t-shirt will not be too long even if you choose one size up.
