Jackman is the brand of Tanabe Meriyasu, a Japanese manufacturing company based in Fukui, which draws its inspiration from the legacy left by its founder, Mitsugu Tanabe.

The Umps Pants derives its design from the pants worn by sports referees ("Umps" for "Umpire"). It features a loose fit, high at the waist, comfortable on the thigh, and tapers down at the lower leg, with an intentionally short leg length and an elastic waistband that can be tightened with a drawstring. The 2 front pockets are slanted, accompanied by 2 large buttoned back pockets, mounted with a bellows design to provide more depth and durability.

This Stretch version of the Umps Pants gains its elasticity from a core of polyurethane inserted into the heart of the cotton threads. This feature allows the fabric to maintain its shape while easily accommodating everyday movements.

Thanks to its elastic waistband, adjustable via the drawstring, it is possible to choose the size based on the desired fit, either more loose or more fitted.
