Jackman is the brand of Tanabe Meriyasu, a Japanese manufacturing company based in Fukui, drawing inspiration from the heritage left by its founder: Mitsugu Tanabe.
The Umps Pants design is inspired by sport umpires' trousers ("Umps" stands for "Umpire"). It features a loose fit, high on the waist, comfortable at the thigh and tapering towards the calf, with intentionally short leg length and an elastic waistband that can be adjusted with a drawstring. The 2 front pockets, angled for ease, accompany 2 large buttoned gusseted back pockets, offering more depth and durability.
It is made from a beautiful Back Nep 100% organic cotton fabric. The cotton threads are woven as is, without thread adjustment, to achieve a grainy and neppy texture, full of relief and roughness. The fabric is then degreased to give it a drier and stiffer feel, thus providing good hold for the pants.
Thanks to its elastic waistband, adjustable via the drawstring, it is possible to choose the size depending on the desired fit, either more loose or more fitted.
This model fits true to size, you can go with your usual size.
