This model is dyed using natural dyes, and the dye absorption is very low. Even when dry, color transfer may occur onto other garments (t-shirts, underwear, socks, shoes, bags, etc.). Repeated washing can reduce this effect, but it will not disappear completely. We therefore recommend avoiding contact with light-colored items. Please take this into consideration before placing your order, as this aspect cannot be considered grounds for a return.

SEUVAS is a young Japanese label based in Kurashiki, in Okayama Prefecture. The brand draws inspiration from workwear and vintage railroad jackets to create modern pieces while respecting local artisanal techniques. This Raglan Coverall Jacket is made from a unique fabric, combining linen for the warp and Washi paper for the weft, offering a subtly irregular texture and exceptional comfort.

Washi paper is a natural material with remarkable properties: lightweight, breathable, quick-drying, absorbent, and offering UV protection. The Binchōtan charcoal dye gives the fabric deep shades that highlight the grain and structure of the textile. Binchōtan is a very dense vegetal charcoal, resembling metal, made from Ubamegashi oak. It is known for many qualities, such as water purification, absorption of unwanted tastes and odors, as well as excellent thermal properties, widely used in cooking. Used as a dye base, it gives the fabric a unique hand feel, somewhere between softness and dryness, and will also develop a distinctive patina over time, similar to indigo dye.

Every detail of this jacket — from the raglan sleeves to the throat latch, as well as the multiple functional pockets — reflects the care given to its construction.
