Inspired by American hunting jackets from the 1950s, the F2470 Cotton Twill Field Jacket draws on their functional construction in a design developed by FOB Factory. Made from 100% cotton twill woven on a dobby loom and garment dyed, it stands out for its pronounced texture, two-tier front pockets and natural-material buttons.

Description

The F2470 is inspired by American hunting jackets from the 1950s, originally designed in sturdy duck or canvas fabrics. FOB Factory retains their functional pocket construction while reinterpreting it with a fabric and silhouette suited to everyday wear.

The fabric is a 100% cotton twill woven on a dobby loom with a high warp yarn density. This construction accentuates the diagonal ribs characteristic of twill and gives the surface a particularly pronounced texture. Despite its dense appearance, the fabric remains relatively supple when worn.

The jacket is then garment dyed, giving the Brown color a slightly irregular appearance and a surface that can continue to evolve through friction and washing. The NUT buttons, made from natural material derived from palm nuts, complete the construction with a finish that differs from the metal buttons commonly used on workwear jackets.

The two large front pockets are one of the defining features of the model. Their two-tier construction provides additional storage while directly drawing on a functional detail found on the hunting jackets that inspired the F2470.

Fit

The F2470 features a Relaxed fit, with enough room through the body for layering. Its slightly generous volume makes it easy to wear over a shirt, sweatshirt or knitwear.

For its take on vintage hunting jackets, expressed through both its construction and fabric. The dobby twill provides a texture that differs from standard cotton twill, while the garment dyeing and NUT buttons add details that will gradually develop more character over time. A functional and easy-to-wear piece with enough individuality to stand apart from a classic field jacket.
