The Lot. 2220 from Warehouse & Co. is an exact reproduction of the denim shawl collar jacket issued to the U.S. Navy during World War II. Commonly referred to as "dungarees" by navy personnel, it was traditionally worn with matching denim trousers, also offered by Warehouse & Co. under the reference Lot. 1233. This jacket dates back to World War II and continued to be used into the 1950s. Like the associated trousers, it is made from a light selvedge canvas of 8oz, textured and slightly neppy, and features urea loop buttons stamped with a naval anchor.

This jacket features a shawl collar and two patch pockets, typical of work jackets from that era. The sleeves, intentionally long and loose and without buttons at the cuffs, can be easily rolled up or tailored for a cleaner drop.

The fit, intentionally straight and loose, offers plenty of options, whether worn alone with a t-shirt in the summer, with a hoodie in mid-season, or as a mid-layer in winter.
