Created as part of our collaboration with Nitto Knitwear, the Bedros was born from a simple ambition: to design a timeless sweater that showcases exceptional French craftsmanship and a truly remarkable yarn. Knitted from a luxurious Geelongora blend of Geelong lambswool and angora, then constructed using WholeGarment® technology, it offers an outstanding balance of softness, lightness, warmth and comfort. Produced in a limited run, it is available exclusively through Flâneurs and Nitto Knitwear.

Description

Founded in 2022, Nitto Knitwear builds upon a family knitting heritage dating back to 1972. Based in Clamart, just outside Paris, the company oversees every stage of production in-house, from product development and knitting to the final finishing touches. This integrated approach preserves genuine French knitting expertise while ensuring uncompromising quality throughout the manufacturing process.

For this collaboration, we wanted to highlight a yarn that is as rare as it is exceptional: Geelongora. Developed by the prestigious British spinner Z. Hinchliffe & Sons, it combines 75% Geelong lambswool, prized for its fineness, resilience and ability to retain its shape over time, with 25% angora, which brings remarkable softness, natural warmth and a delicate halo. The result is a knit that feels light, lofty and exceptionally comfortable to wear.

The angora used is Caregora™ certified, ensuring full traceability and sourcing from farms committed to responsible animal welfare practices. The fibres are obtained exclusively through shearing, in accordance with strict standards designed to guarantee ethical production at every stage.

The Bedros is fully knitted using WholeGarment® technology, a seamless knitting process that produces the entire garment without any assembly seams. More demanding than traditional construction, this technique significantly improves comfort, freedom of movement and durability while creating an exceptionally clean silhouette. Its 8-gauge knit perfectly showcases the natural loft of the Geelongora yarn while maintaining excellent structure.

Featuring a classic crew neck, soft ribbed finishes and a slightly relaxed fit, the Bedros integrates effortlessly into a modern wardrobe. Refined enough to pair with tailored trousers yet equally at home with denim or chinos, it is a timeless silhouette designed to remain relevant season after season.
