Seuvas is a young Japanese label based in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture. Inspired by workwear and military styles, the brand creates garments from the exceptional canvas of Takeyari, a local manufacturer that has been producing this material for 130 years. Seuvas offers jackets, shirts, and trousers in natural canvas in its permanent collection, cutting and sewing all the garments themselves in their own Kurashiki workshop using vintage sewing machines.

Each season, the brand launches a new capsule featuring organic dyes, such as matcha tea, coffee, or charcoal, and accompanies its garments with a unique detail: the collar button. This is a handmade porcelain button made from clay ore mined in Amakusa, in the Kimamoto Prefecture of Japan. The Amakusa pottery stone is a historic pottery stone, used in Japanese pottery since the 17th century. These porcelain buttons, specially designed for Seuvas, are traditionally made in Amakusa. For this "Coffee" capsule collection, the button patterns feature small coffee beans surrounded by a traditional motif.

For this season, Seuvas introduces a new coffee-dyed capsule collection. The subtle shades are achieved by soaking the garment in used coffee grounds from local cafes to varying degrees. This dyeing gives the fabric a unique hand, both soft and rugged, and will also develop a distinctive patina similar to that of indigo dyeing.

This straight-cut shirt, comfortable to wear all year round, is distinguished by its unusual raglan sleeves which enhance ease of movement. The chest pocket features a sewn-down flap, eliminating the need for a button and sewn lower on one side for easier pocket access. The apparent simplicity of this shirt is enhanced by subtle details such as the collar button and the internal label, featuring a cup of coffee and the inscription "Make Coffee Not War".
