What is Block Print?

The fabric used for this model is a uniform base with colorfast dye, onto which patterns are pressed using the Block Print technique. This artisanal technique involves hand-carving patterns onto wooden stamps that are then dipped in natural dyes and stamped onto the fabric. Each stamp creates a unique pattern and the result varies from one shirt to another. It's a lengthy process that often requires multiple stamps for a single pattern, thus requiring patience and precision in the layering of prints.
