Rooted in Kardo’s artisanal approach and Flâneurs’ contemporary vision of tailoring, the Taka trousers emphasize intelligent construction and a well-balanced silhouette.
Crafted from 100% organic cotton fine-wale corduroy, they feature an inverted pleat that subtly lifts the upper section to provide greater ease through the hips and thighs, before tapering gradually from the knee to the hem for a clean and harmonious line. The elasticated waistband with drawstring ensures optimal comfort while maintaining a refined shape. These trousers are finished with classic welted back pockets and a floral embroidery placed beneath the left pocket, depicting a lotus flower—a powerful symbol of purity and renewal in Indian culture. Entirely handmade by a single tailor, each piece is unique and comes with a label listing the names of the artisans involved in its creation.
The floral embroidery
The embroidery depicts a lotus flower, recognizable by its delicately layered petals. Hand-embroidered, it adds a subtle touch of contrast and poetry to the corduroy fabric, while paying tribute to Indian textile craftsmanship.
