The French Moleskin Jacket from FOB Factory is based on the iconic work jacket (or Chore Coat) that appeared in late 19th century France. The originally loose and comfortable fit, intended for railroad workers or farmers, has been revised to be closer to that of a suit jacket. It has a more fitted drape, with shorter sleeves and a shortened torso, for a more "formal" look than a traditional "workwear" jacket.
It is crafted from thick, 100% cotton moleskin, woven at high density. This process gives it an appearance similar to suede leather, with a smooth, uniform, and velvety texture. This type of moleskin is rightfully called "German Leather". It is a sturdy fabric that easily adapts to the body's shape and will develop a beautiful patina over time.
