With this 1947 Model Type-III, Sugar Cane continues its historical denim reproduction work by offering a subtle yet meaningful evolution of its previous models. The Type-III retains the DNA of the brand’s earliest jeans while introducing a more contemporary cut designed to provide greater everyday versatility.

The 12oz selvedge denim is developed using double ring spun yarns and slowly woven on vintage Toyoda shuttle looms. This intentionally slow weaving process creates an irregular and living texture that gradually reveals itself with wear. The cotton, sourced from a blend of American and Zimbabwean fibres, is rope-dyed in indigo with a white weft, resulting in high-contrast fades and a rich, evolving patina over time. Lighter than the brand’s other core fabrics, this denim offers superior comfort in warm conditions without sacrificing character or structure.

The Slim Straight fit differs from earlier iterations with a slightly lower rise and a narrower leg, while still maintaining room through the thigh.
