Batoner, meaning "one who inherits", proudly represents the nearly century-old craftsmanship of Yamagata Prefecture in Japan, which has hosted the best knitting manufacturers in Japan for many years. With only about fifteen manufacturers still active today, each strives to continue the techniques and traditions that have made this region famous.
